Lens confirm signing of RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haïdara

RC Lens, the current Ligue 1 leaders, have confirmed before the winter window opens the signing of Amadou Haïdara from RB Leipzig on a deal to 2029.

The club said in a statement that they were delighted to end 2025 with his arrival and highlighted his significant experience for club and country.

The Mali international had not been in the Leipzig coach's plans, and his contract there was due to run until June 2026.

He is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Mali, and will link up with Lens after the tournament.

The former RB Salzburg player has made more than 330 appearances, including 64 in European competition, and adds depth to Lens' midfield.
