According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo continue preparations at Ninho do Urubu as the Super Data FIFA window nears its end, with Leonardo Jardim overseeing the club’s eighth training session of the break on Saturday the third of October, at 10:00 Brasília time.

During the pause, Jardim has been without his call-ups: Samuel Lino and Pedro with Brazil, Anthony Valencia with Ecuador, and Varela with Uruguay.

Arrascaeta, who had also been available for international duty, sustained an injury. He returned to Rio de Janeiro and underwent surgery on Thursday the first of October.

The training-only period runs until Tuesday the sixth of October. Flamengo’s next fixture is on Thursday the eighth of October, away to Santos in the Brasileirão, the 29th round at Vila Belmiro, kick-off 19:30 Brasília time.

Introduced in 2026, the Super Data FIFA unifies the former September and October international windows into a single 16-day block, from 21 September to the sixth of October 2026. National teams may play up to four matches, twice the previous limit, aiming to cut repeated long-haul travel. The extended pause increases the impact on clubs, with domestic competitions halted for more than two weeks.
