Leroy Sane is unhappy with his role at Galatasaray and has considered an early exit, according to Sabah. The report adds that the 30-year-old does not see himself as a brief substitute and feels that does not match his ambitions.

His start to the season has been flat. Okan Buruk started him on matchday one in the 2-2 draw with promoted Corum FK, keeping him on for 89 minutes, but an underwhelming display brought consequences.

In the 4-0 win over Erzurumspor and the 3-2 victory against Göztepe, Sane began on the bench. He came on in the 66th minute in the first, then the 73rd in the second. After three league outings, he has no goals or assists.

Club officials moved to calm the forward, emphasising he remains highly valued in the squad and retains their trust for the rest of the season. The situation then eased for the time being.

Sane joined the champions only last summer. Local media had already been debating his condition and his place in Buruk’s system.
