Levante dealt concerning injury setback | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Levante have early this week announced a worrying blow on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Carlos Álvarez is set for an incoming spell away from the pitch.

Attacking midfielder Álvarez was for his part forced into a premature departure over the weekend, as Levante were made short work of by Rayo Vallecano in their post-international break return to action.

This came owing to what appeared to be a muscular problem.

Álvarez, who continues to play a leading role at the Estadi Ciutat de València, was in turn put through a round of medical tests and scans on Monday.

And as confirmed by Levante, cited by Mundo Deportivo, as much revealed an injury concern the recovery from which ‘will determine his return to training with the group’.

Spaniard Álvarez has therefore seen his status to feature in the club’s next outing against Mallorca thrown into doubt.
