Levante ‘pushing’ for deal for Villarreal star | OneFootball

Levante have set their sights firmly on the signature of a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga rivals Villarreal. The player in question? Thiago Fernández.

Midfielder Fernández for his part only put pen to paper on terms with Villarreal this past January. After catching the eye with his performances on the books of Vélez Sarsfield in his native Argentina, the 22-year-old was snapped up on a free transfer.

From here, Fernández was immediately loaned to Real Oviedo, to secure regular minutes in Spain’s top-flight at the earliest possible opportunity.

And the youngster’s ensuing performances, en route to a haul of four assists in 16 appearances, did not go unnoticed across the rest of the La Liga landscape…

One such club to have taken note of Fernández’s talents were the aforementioned Levante, who, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park, now appear ready to make their move for the Argentine.

As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto:

‘Levante are pushing for Thiago Fernández, from Villarreal.’
