Bayer Leverkusen intend to upgrade and extend Ibrahim Maza’s contract, which already runs until 2030.
The first talks over a new deal were held last week, according to Sport BILD.
Leverkusen are believed to be very happy with the 20-year-old Algerian international’s development and are eager to keep him.
Maza currently earns less than €3 million a year, placing him in the lower third of the squad’s salary structure.
He has contributed one goal and one assist in the Bundesliga’s opening fixtures, and drew interest in the summer from Atlético Madrid among others.
