Nottingham Forest believe Liam Delap can reshape their attack this summer, with Oliver Glasner convinced he suits the system.

Nottingham Post reports that the 23-year-old arrived for a club-record £45 million and wants a fresh start after a difficult year at Chelsea, having left Ipswich Town in 2025.

Glasner said Delap learned from choosing Chelsea and now wants a club that values his power and finishing, which the head coach aims to harness rather than change.

In 2024/25 Forest finished seventh and reached Europe as Chris Wood hit 20 goals. A serious knee injury hampered him last term, and Igor Jesus and Arnaud Kalimuendo look better as No.10s.

With Taiwo Awoniyi moving to Coventry City, a centre-forward topped the list. Forest studied what works in the Premier League and found tall, mobile, physical forwards thrive, and at six feet two inches Delap fits.
