Ligue 1 expands coverage in Pakistan and Bangladesh | OneFootball

Ligue 1 has broadened its reach in South Asia, with live coverage set to roll out in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

LFP Media has agreed a strategic partnership with tapmad, one of Pakistan’s leading OTT platforms. The organisations said in a statement that the tie-up will enhance the league’s visibility and accessibility in the world’s 5th and 8th most populous countries.

Under the agreement, tapmad will stream selected Ligue 1 matches live, opening the competition to wider football audiences in both markets. A first test took place during Marseille v PSG on 20 September, which finished 1-2.

The move follows Ligue 1’s recent broadcast launch in India and complements LFP Media’s deal with JioStar, which covers the Indian subcontinent.

LFP says the league is now carried by 54 broadcasters in more than 200 territories worldwide. With a growing network of partners, it aims to create more opportunities for fans to follow the league’s stars, clubs and rivalries wherever they are.
