It begins at 12:00 CET (11:00 GMT) at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

The Italian tactician has signed a contract until the end of the season, leaving the club an option to extend until 2027.

His debut as the Bianconeri’s head coach is just around the corner as Juventus will visit Cremonese at the Stadio Zini on Saturday.

This means Spalletti has only had one day to prepare the team for tomorrow’s fixture, and it is no coincidence that the Certaldo-born coach is not expected to change system in his first game in charge.

Spalletti won the Serie A title with Napoli in 2022-23 but has been without a team since June 2025, when he was sacked by the Italian federation following a 3-0 loss against Norway in the World Cup qualifiers.

Final question for Spalletti: what impact does he expect to have?

Spalletti: “I don’t know what impact I can have. I know my attitude, from the morning I wake up until I go to sleep at night. I know that, towards my behaviour, the players can enter a mindset that can give them something. I’ve been doing this job for over 30 years, and I’ve been lucky because I’ve won many games. I trust that history, I trust my behaviour. I’m aware that those making the difference are always the footballers, no doubt about it. At the same time, however, having complicity and availability in doing things and trusting our abilities can be something that will bring us to having results, I don’t know how big, but this pathway we have in front can make us change things. On the pitch, you have to understand certain things; football has evolved continuously, and you must understand the moments on the field, how to behave and be in sync. This makes the difference to be a team with superior quality and not just the addition of single footballers. If we all give our best and are available, that growth can be enough to be worthy of Juventus. That’s what we’ll work on.”

Why Juventus sacked Tudor

Comolli: “Results. Lack of results. It’s simple. At some point, we thought this cycle had to end. It always depends on results. The main thing is that there were negative results. The team had not performed in the best way, and I said it clearly to him on Monday. This is why we made the change on Monday and hired a new coach. I think Spalletti was the best option.”

Spalletti: “I know Koop well because I followed him with other clubs in the past. Then, he cost a lot, and we couldn’t sign him. Spalletti: “When you go on the pitch, it is fundamental to win games. However, given that football is also a show, one tries to make a good product, a product of quality for those watching. Spalletti: “I left something in every city I left. In Naples, something superior came out for the beauty of football and what we accomplished, a fantastic and important Scudetto. I’ve established a special connection with those people. It won’t change on my side. Today I did blood tests and he did it on the other [right] arm because here [left] I have the tattoo and I didn’t want anything to be touched there. Nothing will change for me. Comolli: “Not at all. When I arrived in June, it was clear that Tudor would be the coach, and we also extended his contract. This is what we thought about in June. When us three, on Sunday night, decided to make a change, we contacted Luciano for the first time. We met for the first time at lunchtime on Monday. I can guarantee we had never discussed before. Comolli: “It’s one of the things we discussed when we met Luciano on Monday. There’s no specific plan. We’ll see if there are opportunities. If somebody leaves, we’ll replace him, but currently we are not thinking about acquiring new players.

“I’m relaxed regarding new signings and I am confident. We signed excellent players; they need time to settle, but we are happy to see how they are performing. We have an option for some of their players. Let’s discuss it again in 12 or 18 months. Luciano and I have been in football for 33 years. I’ve seen anything in football. The coach is right when he says they need time, but I’m confident about the quality of our new players. I won’t lose sleep over new acquisitions. Perhaps I lost sleep over the team’s performances. I used to, now I have confidence in Luciano.”

Spalletti: “I hope I can get back and be involved in the race for the Scudetto. It’s what we were discussing with the players yesterday. We must aim for the top, and in this case, the top is the title race. Nine games have been played, still 29 to go. Many games. I’ve seen any sort of thing in my over 30-year career. I don’t see why I should settle. I have absolute respect for the quality of these players.

“With Vlahovic, it’s easy. I have to talk to him. I haven’t received any restrictions from the club regarding any player. I’ll see what he will do and his responses. Based on the last game against Udinese, he has clear intentions, and that behaviour fixes everything because he played an excellent game.”

Spalletti: “Dusan’s analysis was correct. The players realise what they are taking and what they are giving back to a club that believes in them. As for what I told Perin, it’s just a joke. We all know that coaches depend on the footballers. Coaches can be good, but the players’ quality makes the difference. It was a way to involve them and make them realise that things done on the pitch will determine my future. Luckily, for my career and what football has given me, I don’t need guarantees on my future. I think it’s quite fair to make assessments. I’m not forced to stay in a certain situation because of a contract. Therefore, we do this experience together and I find it a very simple and honest and clear situation. We start working, trying to cooperate between all the people in the Juventus world, who are people of absolute value. At the end, we’ll draw conclusions, but I had no difficulty in accepting a contract of this nature. On the contrary, given what happened in the past, I would have done the same if I were Juventus.”

Spalletti: “Obviously, it’s part of my job. It’s stimulating. Goals are fundamental because you need goals to win games. Attacking football is another important quality, but the essential thing is to be a group that understands what to do on the pitch in different circumstances. Comolli: “My Italian hasn’t improved much, so I apologise. Welcome to the unveiling press conference of our coach, Luciano Spalletti. We are glad to welcome him for many reasons. Naturally, he is a great expert on Italian football, you know his career, which has been successful in different clubs and environments.

“He’s a person who can bring forward the football brand. We have agreed to a contract until the end of the season with an option to extend. What we discussed with Luciano is that the option, the agreement, is a potential long-term collaboration. Luciano and I understood that this is the right approach. During the season, we can sit down and decide how to continue.

“We hired Spalletti for what he achieved in the past, the playing style is important too. How did we make this decision? Giorgio, François and I are in constant dialogue with the owners. We felt the team needed a new coach, and we unanimously decided that Spalletti was the perfect candidate to continue this adventure. The fact that all three and the owners were on the same page was crucial in the decisional process. There’s not one centimetre of distance between us in the decisional process.”
