Champions remain light at the back despite key return
Liverpool returned to winning ways last week, beating Qarabag 6-0 and Newcastle 4-1 to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat by Bourenmouth two weeks ago.
The Reds were able to welcome back Ibrahima Konate after the Frenchman was allowed some time to grieve after his father tragically passed away, meaning that the defender missed three games.
It has left the Reds thin at the back, especially considering that they are also missing both their senior right-back options as well.
It has meant that Arne Slot has had to get creative in his tactical selections, with Dominik Szoboszlai deputising once more at right full-back, while Ryan Gravenberch has slipped into the heart of defence.
Here is all the latest Liverpool injury news and return dates ahead of facing Manchester City this weekend...
The Dutchman has been plagued with injuries since his summer arrival at Anfield.
He was forced off with yet another issue in midweek, substituted after just four minutes against Qarabag with a muscle injury.
Slot did not know the exact timeframe for which the right-back would be out, but issued a more positive update ahead of the Newcastle fixture,
“He is out for a few weeks,” the Liverpool boss said.
“But [it's] not as bad as we thought he would be out. It's something positive from something not so positive.”
Potential return date: vs Nottingham Forest on February 21 (A)
Gomez was forced off in the defeat at Bournemouth two weeks ago, and that leaves Slot with no cover in central defence.
Virgil van Dijk and Konate are the only two senior centre-backs available, so if either of them pick up a knock, then the Reds are in a bit of trouble.
However, Slot believes that the England defender will not be out for much longer.

He ruled him out of the game with Newcastle, but said that he could return as soon as next week.
“Joe will not be available but that doesn't have to take much longer anymore.,” Slot said ahead of the Newcastle fixture.
Potential return date: vs Man City on February 8 (H)
Northern Irish international Bradley was withdrawn injured in the goalless draw at Arsenal last month.
The right-back is out for the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury, although he was fortunate to avoid a serious ACL rupture.
He has needed surgery to repair the damaged ligaments, however, and he will also sit out his country’s huge World Cup play-off against Italy in March.
A Liverpool statement on the full-back read: “Liverpool FC can confirm Conor Bradley has sustained a significant knee injury.
“The right-back suffered the issue in the latter stages of Thursday night's Premier League fixture away at Arsenal.
“Bradley will undergo surgery in the coming days and then begin a period of rehabilitation at the AXA Training Centre.
“No timeframe is being placed on his return to playing at this stage of the process.”
Potential return date: Summer 2026
Summer signing Isak suffered a broken leg after he scored the opener in the 2-1 win at Tottenham in December.
The Swede has not featured since hobbling off the field in north London, having been clattered by Micky van de Ven’s challenge that Slot branded as “reckless”.
The striker has a fractured fibula, and has had surgery on his ankle and leg.
“It's going to be a long injury, for a couple of months,” said Slot, who expects Isak to play again this season. “It's a big disappointment for him and, as a result, for us.”
Potential return date: March 2026
Another summer signing Leoni will not, however, play for his new side again this term after he tore his ACL on his debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup back in September.
The Italian defender is out for around a year.

“He is not in a good place, of course, because he tore his ACL and it means he will be out for around a year,” Slot said of the young centre-back.
“Being so young, coming to a new country and playing so well in your first game, it’s very hard to take the positive side.
“There’s never a positive side but he is still so young so he has many years to go after he recovers from a terrible injury like that.”
Potential return date: September 2026
