Liverpool sign Barcola from PSG – and hope for another winger signing before deadline | OneFootball

Liverpool have completed the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain.

The French forward has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Premier League champions, joining in a deal worth £120m including add-ons.

“It’s a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool,” Barcola said. “I’m very happy.

“It took a long time, but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.”

The 24-year-old arrives from Paris Saint-Germain with the ambition of helping Liverpool continue competing for major honours.

“I hope to achieve very big things,” he added. “First of all, winning the Premier League – it’s one of my biggest dreams in my life.

“It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that’s why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it.”

Liverpool remain keen on adding another winger before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday.

Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr are two players of interest to the club but they have been unable to agree deals for either as of yet.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are in talks over a deal to bring in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo.
