Liverpool Starting XI vs Eintracht Frankfurt

After Sunday’s disastrous defeat to Manchester United at Anfield, Liverpool turn their attention back to the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.

It’s four defeats on the bounce across all competitions for Arne Slot’s side after losses to Crystal Palace, Galatasaray, Chelsea and Manchester United.

A fifth tonight would be the first time Liverpool have managed five consecutive defeats since 1953.

Eintracht Frankfurt have been in a poor run of form themselves and have been conceding bags of goals. So, this could be a good opportunity for the Reds to get their season back on track.

Liverpool currently have three points from their opening two European fixtures. They beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 at Anfield, before suffering a shock 1-0 defeat at Galatasaray.

Giovanni Leoni will miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury that he suffered on his Liverpool debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup.

Ryan Gravenberch has not travelled with the squad after suffering an ankle injury in the defeat to Manchester United.
