The details for City’s Barclays Women’s Super League meeting with Liverpool have been confirmed.
Andrée Jeglertz’s side will welcome the Reds to the Joie Stadium on Sunday 3 May, with kick-off scheduled for 12:00 (UK) in what is our final home league assignment of the season.
City have won each of our 10 home top-flight matches this season which has helped us close in on the title with three WSL matches remaining this term.
The Blues know collecting five points from the next nine available will seal the championship before the curtain falls on 2025/26.
It also represents the second time we will have played Liverpool this season following our dramatic 2-1 victory at Anfield in October’s reverse fixture.
On that occasion, Aoba Fujino scored an 86th-minute winner as we came from a goal down to collect a precious three points on Merseyside.
After a goalless first half, Cornelia Kapocks had given Gareth Taylor’s team the lead shortly after the break, but Iman Beney equalised just over 10 minutes later.
Then, with the clock ticking down, the Japan international euphorically slammed into the net from close range.
Please note, all available tickets for City’s home clash with Liverpool are currently sold out.
