While the season is already over for most players, one of our seven loan players is putting in some overtime. We'll recap and also look back at what the other players in our group of seven have achieved at their temporary club.

What we wrote about Hendry's time in our last loan player check in March unfortunately still applies. The centre-back had a tough time at Hannover. He last played three months ago, and since then he's only been able to watch from the stands as the club narrowly missed out on the promotion play-off spot against their local rivals from Wolfsburg.

Our Geordie racked up over 3,000 minutes in his 45 appearances for Derby. He would have played even more had a hamstring injury not sidelined him during the championship's final stretch. The Rams battled until the very end for a play-off spot – which would have kept their hopes of reaching the Premier League alive – but ultimately missed out by four points. Bobby is a firm favourite with Derby fans, and was deservedly named Young Player of the Season by the supporters.

The season is still going on for the Dane, as Wolfsburg are fighting for survival in the Bundesliga through the relegation play-offs. His energetic first-leg performance in the goalless draw against Paderborn on Thursday ended after 65 minutes – his fourth consecutive start under coach Dieter Hecking. In fact, the 20-year-old has featured in every competitive match for the Wolfsburg side this calendar year, with only one exception.

Alongside Soumaila Diabate, Diakite is one of the four finalists nominated for the award for best Malian youngster. The striker's inclusion was primarily based on his 18 goal involvements this season. He bid farewell to Lausanne in fitting style with a direct free-kick goal against Grasshoppers.

After the midfielder arrived in the port city in January, he quickly became a key player. Lucas was in the starting lineup in 14 out of 15 matches – until a yellow card suspension at the end of the season – playing a crucial role in helping France's oldest football club achieve their best Ligue 1 season since 2002/03 and secure their spot in the top flight.

Only a single suspension prevented a flawless marathon record. In these 33 out of 34 possible Bundesliga 2 appearances, he actually managed to score the first goal of his career – and the setting was special: a last-minute equaliser against Hertha Berlin in front of nearly 50,000 fans at Berlin's Olympic Stadium. Due to Bochum's lacklustre start to the season, promotion hopes were hardly too high, but in the end, they finished ninth in the league, securing a place in the top half of the table.
Zizi continues to work on his comeback after suffering a foot injury in November – we're keeping our fingers crossed!
