Lorenzo Lucca can depart Napoli six months after arrival | OneFootball

Lorenzo Lucca could be heading for an early departure from Napoli in the January transfer window, less than six months after joining the club, according to comments made by transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Speaking to Sky Sport, as reported by AreaNapoli, Di Marzio suggested that the forward’s opportunities at the club are diminishing. He explained that with the impending return of Romelu Lukaku, and given that Napoli primarily plays with a single striker, Lucca’s chances of seeing the field would drastically reduce.

Di Marzio indicated that because of this situation, it is his belief that Lucca could ultimately leave in January. The forward may be used as a bargaining chip in negotiations, with Di Marzio mentioning that the possibility of a swap deal involving Ruben Loftus-Cheek is one idea being considered. However, the viability of that specific swap depends on whether AC Milan would be willing to part with Loftus-Cheek to acquire a striker like Lucca.
