FC Lorient are marking their 100th anniversary with a programme that began in late 2025 and peaks in early April. According to L'Équipe, the club have planned community events, heritage tributes and two showcase matches.

The FCL Centenaire Tour took a roadshow to towns across Morbihan and south Finistère, plus a graphic novel release. A bust of founder Caroline Cuissard was unveiled outside Le Moustoir. A fish trader, she helped form a corporate fishing team that became an amateur club on two April 1926.

On Thursday two April, a parade of 100 boats in Merlus colours will sail in the city’s waters. On Saturday four April, activities are set around landmarks including the stadium, town hall and theatre. The centenary match against Paris FC follows on Sunday five April at 17:15, with a legends game the next day at 15:00.

The centrepiece is an immersive experience in the main stand, where a VIP lounge has been turned into a cinema. It will screen previously unseen footage, rare INA archives and match action, plus images of the city, the stadium and figures such as the Cuissard family and Christian Gourcuff, who led Lorient from the sixth tier to the elite.

After the film, visitors move through an interactive zone featuring trophies, including the 2002 Coupe de France trophy, photos, shirts and a wall of Panini figurines, before a walk pitchside. Slots last one hour for 20 people, with bookings open until the end of June via fclorient.bzh.
