Louie Philpott signs first professional contract

Leeds United are pleased to announce defender Louie Philpott has put pen-to-paper on a first professional contract with the club.

The left-back has signed a two-year deal which will see him continue his development within the Academy at Thorp Arch until 2028.

Having broken through into the Under-21s side towards the end of last season and scoring a first goal in the Premier League 2 against Manchester United Under-21s, Philpott has featured five times for Scott Gardner’s team so far this term in all competitions.

Those appearances included valuable minutes against senior opposition in the National League Cup, lining up against Boreham Wood.
