Lucas Paquetá lands in Rio for medicals as Flamengo race to register

According to Coluna Do Fla, Lucas Paquetá, Flamengo’s third signing of 2026, arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday morning and will undergo medical tests at CT Ninho do Urubu before signing his contract.

Flamengo are working to register him in the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário. The club want him to debut on Sunday 1 against Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil.

After weeks of negotiation, Flamengo reached an agreement with West Ham to sign Paquetá on a five-year contract for 42 million euros, roughly R$ 260 million.

Of that fee, 15.25 million euros will be paid upfront, with the remaining 26.75 million euros spread across four instalments through 2028.
