Luis Enrique was left frustrated as Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-0 to AS Monaco on Saturday evening, subsequently ceding top spot in Ligue 1.
Takumi Minamino’s goal proved the difference between the two sides, as Monaco put an end to a run of four games without a win in all competitions. In a press conference attended by Get French Football News, Luis Enrique reacted to the defeat.
“Neither team played at a high level, even if they were better than us. It was a difficult start to the match; it is difficult to have continuity when you make so many individual errors. I think it was our worst match of the season,” began the PSG manager.
He continued, “It wasn’t easy for Monaco, but they deserved it more than us, even if we have the same xG. For us, it was a very bad evening.” PSG will look to bounce back next week against Stade Rennais.
