Luis Felipe de Barros takes operations role at Maracanã as Consórcio Fla-Flu replaces Braga | OneFootball

Consórcio Fla-Flu has replaced one of Maracanã’s longest-serving managers, naming Luis Felipe de Barros to lead operations and infrastructure after Severiano Braga’s dismissal last week, according to O Globo.

Barros had been working in the stadium’s administration as contracts manager and now takes over Braga’s department.

In 2023, Luis Felipe Monteiro de Barros was appointed president of the Maracanã oversight, management and operations council, a role he held until March 2026, when he left to run contract management under the Consórcio Fla-Flu.

Severiano Braga had been involved in the stadium’s management since 2019, during Rodolfo Landim’s tenure, when Flamengo and Fluminense held permission to use the ground.

He previously had a stint at Mineirãi and served as Maracanã CEO until the arrival of Fred Nantes, formerly of Conmebol, earlier this year.
