As reported by Foot Mercato, Lyon are looking at signing Dutch club RKC Waalwijk’s Algerian international defender Ahmed Touba.
The 23-year-old’s contract will end in Holland at the end of the season and Lyon, as well as Spanish clubs Sevilla and Real Betis, are keen on signing the player ahead of the summer window.
The left-back, described as “the new Rami Bensebaini” by Foot Mercato, can also play as a left-sided central defender and is considered one of the best defenders in Holland.
Fortuna Düsseldorf and AEK Athens were eyeing the player this winter while Watford, Bournemouth and Feyenoord are also considering an approach after French clubs enquired last summer.
