Lyon set pricetag for Fofana, Roma still in the running

Malick Fofana remains one of the hottest names for Roma at the end of the transfer window.

The Giallorossi are still searching for the attacking winger requested by Gian Piero Gasperini, and the Lyon talent continues to be at the center of Tony D’Amico’s maneuvers.

The latest update from Fabrizio Romano further clarifies the situation.

Roma and Fofana have already reached an agreement on personal terms, and the player continues to fully embrace his move to the Giallorossi.

Lyon’s demands are also now finalized: the French club wants €37.5 million in fixed fees plus €2.5 million in bonuses, for a total deal worth €40 million.

The terms of the deal are therefore all on the table. What’s still missing is Roma’s decision to actually proceed with the move.

After the investment made for Rodrigo Mora, a €40 million request inevitably represents a significant obstacle and, at the moment, does not indicate any imminent acceleration from the Giallorossi.

Furthermore, tonight’s match between Lyon and Fenerbahçe remains in the background, a fixture that could impact not only the French club’s European future but also Fofana’s final days of the transfer window.

Roma, therefore, is watching and evaluating. An agreement with the player is in place, and Lyon’s price is known: €37.5 million plus €2.5 million in bonuses. Now the decision is up to the Giallorossi.
