Lyon’s medical staff are set to complete Malick Fofana’s (21) medical with the Belgian international attacker’s future still undecided with only a few hours remaining of the summer transfer window, according to Hugo Guillemet. Crystal Palace and Sunderland are both interested in signing the 21-year-old before the transfer window closes.

OL are required to sell the wide forward in order to raise funds after missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification. The former Gent winger now has a decision to make regarding his next club. Palace and the Black Cats have both reached separate agreements with Les Gones. Nevertheless, both clubs have tried to hijack each other’s respective deals.

Arsenal no longer in the race for Fofana

The Premier League champions considered a move for the attacker. However, were unwilling to reach Lyon’s €40m asking price for Fofana on the final day of the transfer window.
