Lyon have triggered the €4.1 million option to sign PSG defender Noham Kamara on a permanent deal, the club said in a statement. The 19-year-old is contracted until 30 June 2030.

The agreement includes up to €2 million in bonuses and a 20% share of any future profit from a resale.

Kamara arrived on loan in January with an option that was regarded as obligatory. He made only two Ligue 1 appearances in the run-in, totalling six minutes, and was also hampered by a muscle injury.

A France Under-20 international, the 1.85 m centre-back was born in Meaux and developed in the Paris region before joining PSG. He represents OL’s future and should be able to feature more in central defence.

He will be with the first-team group from 29 June as pre-season begins. OL still need, if possible, to complete a player sale by 30 June.
