L’Équipe are reporting that Olympique Lyonnais attacking midfielder Jeff Reine-Adélaïde (25) will undergo a medical pending a move to Belgian Pro League side Racing White Daring Molenbeek.

Molenbeek and Lyon share the same owner in Eagle Football Holdings’s John Textor. The outlet understands that Reine-Adélaïde almost signed for Serie B side UC Sampdoria on Deadline Day.

The Arsenal FC youth product left SCO Angers for Lyon in a €25m move five years ago. Unfortunately, Reine-Adélaïde never fulfilled his potential and sustained two serious ACL injuries during his stint at Lyon. He was loaned to OGC Nice in 2020 and to ESTAC Troyes during last winter’s transfer window. The 25-year-old only logged two goals and four assists in 48 games with Les Gones.

Given that Reine-Adélaïde is tied to Lyon with a contract that runs until 2024, he is expected to join Molenbeek on a permanent deal or extend his deal with Les Gones and get loaned out to the Belgian side.
