Magalhães hails Mourinho’s Benfica prospect Daniel Banjaqui for taking every chance

In a recent interview, Rodrigo Magalhães praised Daniel Banjaqui, the young right-back in José Mourinho’s Benfica squad, noting the youngster has become a regular pick under the coach.

"At that age there are players who end up standing out among their team-mates," he told Record.

"The club has to know how to wait for the player and find the framework suited to the young footballer’s ability, helping to make it happen," he added.

"He made the most of every opportunity he was given."

Magalhães had previously praised the progress of Anísio Cabral, and Banjaqui features alongside Cabral and José Neto among the academy talents Mourinho is backing at Benfica.
