Málaga consider surprise Anthony Martial swoop | OneFootball

The board at La Liga outfit Málaga are giving consideration to what would come as a surprise move for former Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial.

This comes amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third following a difficult start to life back in the top tier of Spanish football for Los Boquerones.

En route to just two points secured from an available 12 to date, Juan Francisco Funes’ troops have managed to find the net only once.

With the transfer window now closed, the Málaga brass have in turn begun scouring the market for potential free agent options in the final third.

And as alluded to above, this search has over recent days led them to the profile of none other than Anthony Martial. As per a report from Spanish transfer insider Matteo Moretto:

‘Málaga are considering an offer from Anthony Martial to bolster their attack. The Frenchman can play as a winger or a forward.’

Martial, for his part, has been available as a free agent since terminating his contract with Mexican outfit Monterrey in June of this year.
