Leicester City ended their Spanish training camp with a 3-3 draw against top-flight Malaga in Marbella. LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports the fixture capped a productive week.

Russell Martin’s side controlled spells and might have been 3-0 up after chances for Will Alves and Stephy Mavididi. Louis Page instead put City ahead, scoring direct from a corner.

After the break Malaga introduced their strongest XI and increased the pressure, forcing Jakub Stolarczyk into sharp work. Chupe and Aaron Ochoa then struck to give the La Liga side a 2-1 lead.

A hydration break brought tweaks and fresh legs. Woyo Coulibaly levelled, then Lorenz Hutchinson pressed high to tee up Tommy Neale for 3-2. Malaga equalised with the final kick after a rapid counter.

Martin rotated his centre-forwards. Kirsten Otchere linked play but lacked penalty-box touches, while Bobby De Cordova-Reid operated as a flexible centre-forward alongside Conor Chaplin and Neale. Nathan Opoku missed out with a tight back.

Set plays looked a growing weapon, Page’s corner was deliberate and Conor Chaplin’s delivery led to Coulibaly’s finish via Riley Carr. Hamza Choudhury anchored as the six late on, and academy trio Hutchinson, Carr and Neale impressed. City now return home for Friday’s open training and a final friendly against Genoa at the King Power Stadium.
