FC Barcelona square off against RCD Mallorca later today in La Liga at the Spotify Camp Nou, aiming to pick up yet another victory.
The Blaugrana head into the game on the back of a strong run of results, having picked up five wins on the bounce across all competitions.
It is not lost on Mallorca head coach Jagoba Arrasate, who acknowledged that Hansi Flick’s side are the strongest team in La Liga, while talking about the Catalans adjusting their high-defensive line.
“They are still the strongest team in La Liga. Football evolves very quickly, and they have corrected things. If you avoid pressure, you create defensive one-on-one situations, we are going to try because it is very easy to say and very difficult to do.”
Ahead of the trip to Camp Nou, Arrasate stated he hoped that his side could do what so many other teams had not been capable of doing so far.
“We are prepared for tomorrow. I want a team with a very clear identity, and we need to know what kind of situations we’ll be playing in. Matches there feel like they last forever,” he said.

Mallorca go into the game after a strong 4-1 victory over Sevilla, and Arrasate highlighted the importance of that win, saying:
“I think we needed a win like this; it was a step forward in every sense. If we make it a regular occurrence, we’ll do much better.”
Mallorca have strengthened the squad during the winter transfer window, and the manager spoke about the new arrivals heading into the Barcelona clash.
“Jan (Salas) has returned with a lot of enthusiasm; he didn’t play much, but you always learn when you’re away from home,” he said.
“With Zito (Luvumbo), he’s the typical disrupter; he hasn’t had much of a leading role, but hopefully we can find that player who was important in Serie A. He’s a player who can make an immediate impact,” Arrasate added.
