Mamadou Sarr arrives in Donostia and says he is very happy | OneFootball

Mamadou Sarr has arrived in San Sebastián to complete a one-year loan from Chelsea to Real Sociedad with no purchase option. According to AS, the 20-year-old centre-back is set to become the club’s first reinforcement for 2026-27.

He will undergo a medical in the coming hours at the Policlínica Donostia.

Sarr reached a central hotel in the Gipuzkoan capital accompanied by several people, including sporting director Erik Bretos. Asked if he was happy about the move, he replied in English that he was very pleased.

The 1.94m defender is regarded as one of France’s most promising centre-backs. He is due to start work under Pellegrino Matarazzo at Zubieta from Friday.

Following the centre-back’s arrival, Barcelona right-back Héctor Fort will be the next to sign.
