Mamadou Sarr set to join Real Sociedad on loan from Chelsea and undergo medical | OneFootball

L’Équipe reports that Mamadou Sarr (20) will join Real Sociedad on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season before the end of the summer transfer window. The Senegalese international defender will be hoping to gain regular playing time whilst in Spain given opportunities have been limited at Stamford Bridge.

Sarr is now set for his second loan spell away from Stamford Bridge. The Lyon academy graduate was loaned back to sister club Strasbourg after Chelsea completed a deal to sign the defender on a permanent basis from the Alsatian outfit. He made 46 appearances during his time with the Racing Club. The Martigues-born defender will be hoping for similar success during his temporary spell in San Sébastian.

Sarr set to undergo medical

The Chelsea centre-back will now undergo a medical with the La Liga club on Thursday morning before completing his loan move. There is no option to buy included in the deal for the defender.
