Manchester City close in on SCO Angers goalkeeper | OneFootball

SCO Angers goalkeeper Max-Edgar Chabot (18) has rejected a first professional contract at his formative club and is closing in on a move to Manchester City, as per a report from Le Parisien.

Le SCO have already faced disappointment in the goalkeeping department this summer. Hervé Koffi excelled on loan at the club from RC Lens last season, but Angers were priced out of making their move for the Burkina Faso international permanent. Instead, the club turned to Anthony Lopes, a free agent following the expiry of his deal at FC Nantes. 

And now, the club are preparing to lose one of their most exciting prospects, Le Parisien understands. Whilst nothing has yet been signed, Chabot is closing in on a move to Premier League giants Manchester City. An agreement could be reached in the coming days, the publication adds.

Chabot has played for Angers’ U19 side and was also in the France U17 squad for last autumn’s U17 World Cup.
