Manchester City is taking the Community Shield seriously

Arsenal and Manchester City will face each other in the season-opening Community Shield in just a few days, with both clubs determined to begin the campaign by lifting the trophy. The fixture provides an early opportunity for the two sides to demonstrate their readiness for the new season.

“Obviously the champions from last season so it’ll be tough but every game’s going to be tough this season. We’ll just play in our style on them and try and win the game.”

The midfielder’s comments underline City’s determination to approach the match seriously. Anderson knows Arsenal will provide a difficult test, but he and his teammates will aim to impose their style and secure victory.
