Also, it has been reported that City have reached out to Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye’s agents as they bid to bolster their attack. Perhaps the Senegalese international is the player that City could land to add the finishing touches to Enzo Maresca’s squad.

It was expected that Ndiaye would complete a move to Tottenham, but that move isn’t yet complete, Romano adds. In what is becoming a complicated situation, Richarlison was expected to move from Tottenham to Everton, but that move is also now in doubt.

David Ornstein has reported for The Athletic that Manchester City’s bid to sign Cody Gakpo from Liverpool is now off. Ornstein reports that Liverpool have rejected Manchester City’s offer of up to £80 million to sign Gakpo. City offered £75 million plus £5 million in add-ons to sign the Dutch international. Ornstein adds that all parties have confirmed that Manchester City’s pursuit of Gakpo is now regarded as off.

Iliman Ndiaye could well be the player that City to turn to in a bid to bolster their attack.

With Manchester City’s pursuit of Cody Gakpo now over, they have shifted their attention towards signing Everton’s Senegalese international Iliman Ndiaye. Ndiaye, like Gakpo, is a versatile player who can play across the front line. Ndiaye’s close control and dribbling ability are also elite, coupled with his tireless work rate, the Senegalese international could prove to be a shrewd signing should City push ahead with a move to sign him.
