The Red Devils completed a £35million deal that saw Youri Tielemans move to Old Trafford from Aston Villa, with the 29-year-old following Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow through the door.

Now. The Sun reports that United are looking to add three more players to their ranks as Michael Carrick reshapes the squad to fit his own image.

Carrick has landed the job on a permanent basis after stepping in in a caretaker capacity following the sacking of Ruben Amorim back in January.

The former midfielder stabilised United, and saw them finish third in the Premier League table, seven points behind second-placed Manchester City, and qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since 2023.

It is thought that the club want a third midfielder, a left winger and a forward to help with their squad depth, but they could pause incomings in favour of some sales.

Crysencio Summerville, the West Ham forward, is a reported target on the left flank, while Alex Scott of Bournemouth is another believed to be of interest, although the Cherries’ asking price could prove to be a stumbling block.

The Red Devils have also been linked with the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, who has just penned a new deal at Real Madrid, as well as Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba.

United have not overseen any major player sales yet, with the exception of Rasmus Hojlund’s loan move to Napoli becoming permanent.

The Red Devils are looking to find a permanent destination for Marcus Rashford, who has returned from his own loan at Barcelona, who did not trigger their buy option for the forward, signing Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi instead.
