Manchester United are considering a move for Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow this summer. He became a key figure under Daniel Farke last season.

The Athletic reports that United are weighing up a move for Darlow as they look to add depth and experience in goal.

Darlow signed a three-year deal in 2023 and, as it stands, will be a free agent this summer. He reclaimed the No.1 spot midway through 2025/26 under Farke.

He started 22 Premier League games, initially covering for Lucas Perri during an autumn injury before keeping the shirt from January. Performances impressed supporters and attracted rival interest.

United signed Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens for around £18million last summer and he impressed in his debut campaign. Behind him, Altay Bayindir, a £4m 2023 signing, has struggled and is expected to leave.

His homegrown status and recent form are likely to draw suitors. He is a Wales international and currently first choice under Craig Bellamy.

The report adds that Leeds plan to offer Darlow a new contract, while Wolves’ Sam Johnstone is also under consideration for Michael Carrick’s side after emerging from the club’s academy.

Farke has praised Darlow’s recent months, highlighting his performances and character, and saying he rates him very highly. He added he would only discuss the future once everything is confirmed.
