Manor Solomon’s future has taken another turn, with a proposed move stalling and a permanent exit understood to be the preference if he is not in Roberto De Zerbi’s Tottenham plans.

According to The Athletic, West Ham, relegated in May and targeting an immediate return, are looking to pay under £5m and are resisting promotion-related bonuses Tottenham want, which has parked talks.

The 27-year-old impressed on loan at Leeds United in 2024/25, scoring 10 goals in 39 appearances as Daniel Farke’s side won the Championship and returned to the Premier League.

Last season he joined Villarreal on loan until January, was recalled by Spurs, then moved to Fiorentina for the rest of the campaign. Fiorentina are pushing to buy him, though their valuation is said to be short of what Tottenham want.

His representatives have indicated the aim is a permanent transfer rather than another loan, adding that they will provide updates if and when there is progress.

A Leeds reunion has been floated but remains speculative. With Noah Okafor shining on the left and Wilfried Gnonto also available, plus Harry Wilson and Daniel James on the right, any move would likely require outgoings, which appears unlikely late in the window.
