Deportivo A Coruña have signed Marc Casadó on a season-long loan from FC Barcelona with an option to buy, as announced on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old rose through Barça’s youth categories after arriving at the club in 2015, going on to make his senior debut against Viktoria Plžen in the UEFA Champions League in 2022/23.
Having played 75 senior games for the blaugrana since making the official step up to the first team in the summer of 2024, Casadó’s move to A Coruña will help the midfielder to continue developing with regular minutes.
Deportivo A Coruña confirmed that Casadó’s contract includes an option to sign the player on a permanent deal at the end of his loan spell, and referenced his wealth of accolades in a statement published on their club website.
“Despite his young age, he already comes with a notable experience in elite football and an impressive honours list, including two LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Supercopas de España,” it reads.
“With his signing, Dépor adds a highly promising and versatile player to the squad, but one who is already accustomed to football at the highest level and with experience in both domestic and international competitions.”
