Marseille field no French players in Bruges defeat and Champions League exit

Marseille were eliminated from the Champions League after a 0-3 defeat in Bruges. According to L'Équipe, it was the first time in the competition that OM started a match without a single French player.
The exit was sealed in extraordinary circumstances on Wednesday, a goal at 90+8 by Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Troubine adding to the collapse and leaving the club stuck in 25th place.
OM's starting XI in Bruges comprised Rulli (ARG), Murillo (PAN), Balerdi (ARG), Aguerd (MAR), Weah (USA), Höjbjerg (DAN), Kondogbia (CFA), Medina (ARG), Greenwood (ANG), Gouiri (ALG), Traoré (CIV).
Those introduced were Paixao (BRE), Aubameyang (GAB), Nadir (MAR) and O'Riley (DAN).
Darryl Bakola was the only Frenchman among the substitutes, and he did not feature.
