Olympique de Marseille are without two of their first-choice central defenders as they prepare to host AJ Auxerre at the Vélodrome on Friday night.

Aguerd has undergone surgery on an ongoing adductor injury. The Morocco international has been struggling with pain throughout the season and has now opted for surgery. It is hoped that he will return for the final couple of games of the Ligue 1 season.

Habib Beye must also contend with the absence of Leonardo BalerdiL’Équipe understands. Once again, there is not expected to be any place in the starting XI for Arsenal loanee Ethan Nwaneri. Instead, it is expected to be Quinten Timber who starts in the No.10 position for Marseille

It will likely be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who starts up front, rather than Amine Gouiri.
