Marseille ‘make enquiry’ for Chelsea’s Deivid Washington

Foot Mercato reports that Olympique de Marseille have enquired about Chelsea forward Deivid Washington, 21.

The Brazilian has yet to force his way into Chelsea’s first team since arriving. A summer loan is expected.

RC Strasbourg Alsace, who share BlueCo ownership with Chelsea, had emerged as the leading destination. Strasbourg are seeking a striker after Emanuel Emegha’s departure and an ACL injury to Joaquín Panichelli, who is not expected back until the turn of the year.

Strasbourg have submitted an offer for Washington, as have Sevilla.

Marseille are now in the mix following their enquiry. Washington has also researched the club and the city by speaking to compatriot and former OM player Luis Henrique.
