Olympique de Marseille have moved to reassure supporters after a recent cyberattack attempt, saying in a statement that fans’ bank data and passwords were not compromised.

Thanks to the rapid mobilisation of technical teams and specialist providers, the incident was contained without major impact. Club operations are continuing as normal and in safe conditions, while enquiries continue in the affected area.

Procedures have been initiated with the competent authorities, including the CNIL, and a formal complaint will be filed.

Supporters have been reminded of good digital hygiene, with advice to strengthen passwords and watch for phishing attempts.
