Mathys Tel (21) would ideally like to stay at Tottenham Hotspur next season, according to Sky Sports.
Having regained his place as a first-team regular since Roberto De Zerbi took charge of Spurs – whom the Italian manager helped keep in the top flight of English football – the French forward now hopes to settle into a stable environment where he feels trusted and valued by his club.
Having arrived in North London from Bayern Munich in the winter of 2025, Tel has had a sporadic spell in the Premier League. Starting in just 13 of his 31 league appearances this season (17 in 38 matches across all competitions), the Sarcelles-born player has found the net only four times, whilst also providing one assist.
Now, with his contract running until June 2031, Tel is hoping for opportunities to prove himself, as the France Under-21 international (20 caps, 12 goals) is aware that he is at a turning point in his young career.
