Newcastle United new boy Matias Fernandez-Pardo will wear the number 20 shirt this season, according to journalist Craig Hope.
The Magpies have been busy in the ongoing transfer window, as they have seen some high-profile names in the form of Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes depart and a host of players join.
The latest to the arrival list is Fernandez-Pardo, for whom they are paying a fee in the region of €65m to French outfit Lille.
The Belgian attacker gave his approval yo the move and the player arrived in England on Monday to undergo his medical with the Magpies.
Fernandez-Pardo has now completed his medical and has been given the number 20 to wear on his debut season with Newcastle.

Last season, it was Anthony Elanga who donned number 20 and he has switched to number 19 this season.
Fernandez-Pardo could make his debut for the Magpies against Bournemouth at the weekend in front of the St James’ Park crowd.
The Magpies agreed to include a sell-on clause in the deal for Fernandez-Pardo which will see Lille earn more in case he departs Newcastle in the future.
Newcastle were also interested in Stuttgart’s Bilal El Khannouss, but with the arrival of the Belgian, the Magpies are not expected to move for the Moroccan unless something happens in the dying hours of the window.

Nick Woltemade is also looking to secure a move out of St James’ Park to get regular minutes under his belt with Juventus his destination.
An unnamed Bundesliga outfit made an attempt to bring back Woltemade to Germany, but Juventus have agreed to a deal with Newcastle to sign the striker.
Woltemade is expected to move on a straight loan with no option to buy included in it.
Now on deadline day Magpies fans will keep a close eye on Newcastle to see whether they will make any other late move in order to further strengthen Matthias Jaissle’s squad.
