Lazio face a new worry after Matteo Cancellieri reportedly suffered a leg injury while on holiday.

Radio Laziale reports that the winger sustained the cut during his break and needed stitches. He is expected to report to the club’s medical team in the coming days for tests to establish a return timeline.

The incident comes during an extended international window. While eight Biancocelesti were called up, Cancellieri was not, nor was Mattia Zaccagni. Davide Frattesi is the only Lazio representative in Roberto Mancini’s first squad after his return to the Italian national team.
