MIAMI – For a second consecutive season, Haiti women’s national team and OL Lyonnes star Melchie Dumornay has set the standard as the winner of the 2024/25 Concacaf Women's Player of the Year Award.
Dumornay makes history as only the second player ever to win the award in consecutive years, joining U.S. legend Alex Morgan in that distinction.
The 22-year-old midfielder enjoyed another outstanding campaign in France, playing a pivotal role in OL Lyonnes’ success across domestic and international competitions.
In league play, Dumornay was instrumental in guiding OL Lyonnes to their 18th French league title, finishing the season as the second-leading scorer in the Première Ligue with 15 goals.
On the European stage, she continued to shine in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, scoring six goals and helping OL reach the semifinals.
Her impressive performances earned her both the UEFA Women’s Champions League Young Player of the Season award for the second year in a row and a place in the competition’s Best XI, further solidifying her reputation as one of the brightest talents in world football.
With her continued excellence for club and country, Dumornay has firmly established herself as a leading figure in women’s football — not only in the Concacaf region, but on the global stage.
