Memphis Depay has hailed 19-year-old André Luiz and urged Corinthians to show caution over a possible sale to Milan, after a proposal worth up to €17 million, around R$ 103 million.

Fabrizio Romano reported that Milan do not plan to raise their previous offer and that, if Corinthians do not accept the current terms, negotiations would be called off.

Corinthians rejected €15 million plus €2 million in add-ons in a deal involving 70% of André’s economic rights held by the club, with the player giving up the remaining 30%. The board viewed the package as below expectations and chose not to advance, believing a future sale could yield more.

On social media, Depay called André one of the biggest talents he has seen in his career, said many clubs will be interested, and urged against chasing quick money.

André debuted for the first team in September 2025 in a 1-0 win over Fluminense under Dorival Júnior. He has 24 appearances, 10 as a starter, and four goals, and has emerged as a standout this season.

He is now preparing for Corinthians’ next match, against Coritiba at Neo Química Arena on 11 March, in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
