Memphis Depay used social media to hail Corinthians midfielder André, 19, and cautioned against any quick sale amid interest from Milan.

According to Globo.com, Milan offered 17 million euros, about R$ 103 million, and Corinthians president Osmar Stabile has decided not to sign off on the transfer at this stage.

Depay described André as one of the biggest talents he has seen and expects many clubs to pursue the youngster. He expressed hope Corinthians would not rush to cash in and added the player is worth significant money.

Stabile’s stance came a day after a deal had been revealed, regarded as close by the player’s camp and described as advanced by the club.

The transfer was awaiting only the president’s signature, which was withheld. He vetoed the move over the terms offered, amid a poor reaction from supporters.
