OL director general Michaël Gerlinger has called for a response from the public authorities after violent incidents outside the OL v Le Havre match. He said the club could not manage such disorder alone.
According to Le Progres, he was appalled by the scale of the violence seen at several moments around the fixture.
The incidents occurred before and after the 1-1 draw on 29 August at Groupama Stadium. OL were also contending with a demanding end to the transfer window at the time.
Gerlinger said the club is doing what it can, but is awaiting imminent conclusions from the prefecture’s investigation, adding that established facts are needed before acting.
He condemned clashes involving armed groups outside the ground.
