If you thought Cristiano Ronaldo and Diego Maradona’s statues were bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Milan midfielder Michael Essien has had a monument erected in his honour in his native Ghana and it’s interesting to say the least.
Essien, who currently plays for Indonesian side Persib Bandung, has been capped almost 60 times for his country and his statue was created by a local artist in the city of Kumasi.
We knew he was a good footballer, but we never knew he was an extraterrestrial!
